Hi Aaron,
Shouldn't this last command be ./INSTALL_BHAM_LINUX_POPLOG
as well? Anyway that is what I did to try this installation on Ubuntu
Linux which is an offshoot of Debian. The installation went off without
a hitch. I used ./INSTALL_BHAM_LINUX_POPLOG nomotif bham ~/mypop
I did use the ./CHECK_LINUX_FACILITIES script which seems
to work though I cheated and installed build-essential,xlibs-dev and
tcsh before I ran it.
I didn't install motif since it isn't in Ubuntu main.
I tested it using lib hybrid_sheepdog.p and it runs well
although it is throwing mishaps trying to compile things from the
default vedinit.p. This doesn't seem to happen running ved inside an
xterm or plain pop11 so I suspect the Gnome vfs or something similar
>from the Gnome Terminal is messing with communications on Ubuntu.
These mishaps don't seem to effect the operation of
Poplog though it is early days yet.
All the best,
John Duncan
