That was a very serious typo in various places. I hope I've
now found them all and fixed them. (A relic of an earlier
installation mechanism).

tcsh is no longer needed either for runing or for installing poplog, I
believe, unless there's still something in $usepop/pop/com that
I have missed (apart from the optional login scripts for tcsh users).
tcsh (or csh) used to be required for linking poplog, but the mechanisms
that generate the poplink_cmd script, used for re-linking, now
generate bash syntax instead.

That should not happen.
I'd be grateful if you could tell me exactly what you did and exactly
what mishaps you got.
E.g. does it happen if you do this:
poplog ved hybrid_sheepdog.p
